MACOM's 3G and 12G-SDI Chipsets and Crosspoint Switches Enable Osprey's Newest Product Offering

LOWELL, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- M/A-COM Technology Solutions Inc. ("MACOM") (NASDAQ: MTSI), a leading supplier of semiconductor solutions for broadcast video infrastructure, today announced along with Osprey Video that Osprey Video's new 12G-SDI Distribution Amplifier and 3G-SDI Switcher utilizes SDI components from MACOM to enable high-performance, low-power solutions for the video market.

With the introduction of the 12SDARD-4, a 12G-SDI distribution amplifier, Osprey Video expands the Osprey Black product line of video peripheral devices to include support for SDI feeds up to 12GHz along with DVB-ASI. With its low-power consumption and compact form factor, this distribution amplifier is expected to be quickly adopted into enterprise and event broadcast or streaming workflows.

Osprey also recently introduced the SSR-42R, their first 3G, 4 into 1 video switcher. This small desktop switcher with integrated IR remote can switch any of four 3G-SDI inputs into a pair of parallel SDI outputs. Front panel LEDs provide instant user feedback for port and input status. The SSR-42R is anticipated to be an ideal solution for both professional and pro-sumer video installations.
