MACOM Extends Wired Broadband Portfolio with High Linearity Reverse Path Variable Gain Amplifier
This Variable Gain Amplifier boasts excellent linearity and output power for DOCSIS 3.1 network access equipment
Covering 5 to 300 MHz in a 7mm PQFN, this device delivers 22dB of input and output return loss. The device can function off either an 8V or 5V voltage supply to provide the ultimate versatility to the system designer. (Photo: Business Wire)
The MAAM-011186 is designed for customers who require a highly linear variable gain amplifier (VGA) solution for network access equipment and Head-ends in the Hybrid Fiber Coax (HFC) system.
This device offers 39dB of gain and 3dB of noise figure with 31.5dB attenuation range all delivered in a single 7mm RoHS compliant PQFN package.
The MAAM-011186 is an integrated two stage differential amplifier with embedded digital step attenuator. The amplifier delivers 36dB MER performance loaded with 39 channels at 52dBmV per channel. Nominal power dissipation is a low 2.2 watts in a small 7mm PQFN package making this an ideal solution for high density cards and compact system amplifiers. The MAAM-011186 is an ideal solution to replace legacy discrete solutions.
"The MAAM-011186 greatly simplifies reverse path amplifier design by
integrating 39dB of Gain with a 6 bit digital step attenuator (DSA) in a
single 7mm PQFN package," said
